Health & Safety campaigns for Corporate |
A major company, needed to raise awareness of incident reporting, across several UK sites for their Health & Safety campaigns, but the subject lacked visual interest. As their processes were primarily ‘written’ documents, I recommended using humour and colour cartoons to balance the necessary guidelines and give it impact. This would also bring the audience into the display and allow them to comfortably read the guidelines. The characters were cheerfully drawn to help staff relate to each other.
Cartoons were initially drafted in pencil and emailed for approval. Then drawn directly on computer using Illustrator to ensure elements were Vector based for ease of edit and file management, but also to provide ‘clip-art’ usage for the company’s P/Point and Intranet publicity. The final design was created for a 2m high display system. Their road shows successfully attracted many people, encouraging them towards improving the value and cases of reported incidents in the workplace. |
